Software, gadgets and other things I use and recommend.

You don't need many things to change the world we live in, these are some of the ones I use to change my world and that of those around me.

My equipment

  • 14" MacBook M2 Pro, 16GB RAM (2023)

    At the beginning of my career I used a state-of-the-art Asus laptop and had to run an Android application that took 10 minutes to compile. Then I moved to a Macbook Pro 2012 and it was reduced to less than 1 minute. Macbook user ever since.

  • Apple Magic Trackpad

    When I started using Macbook, I understood the importance of gestures and the trackpad. Now I can no longer live without them.

  • Apple Magic Keyboard

    If you can't beat them, join them.

Development

  • Cursor

    It's my IDE of choice. I like it for its AI assistance, flexibility and especially how "lightweight" it is when compared to IDEs like IntelliJ or Xcode.

  • Xcode/Android Studio

    I normally use it for native projects. It is a common tool in day-to-day work and/or configurations.

  • TablePlus

    I have tried quite a few software programs to interact with databases and this one has felt the most natural in a MacOS/MacBook Pro environment. Recommended!

Design

  • Figma

    Real-time collaboration and cloud storage of projects is of utmost importance for my work, which is why Figma is hard to beat.
